Rock-Climbing Fish (StarLight Magazine)
The Rock-Climbing Fish was published as the Creature Feature in the April 2026 issue of StarLight Magazine. This amazing gobi fish can climb waterfalls over 300 feet tall, using an amazing adaptation! They have a pectoral suction cup, and their mouth adapts to form another sucker when they are ready to mate. The goby uses each sucker alternately and climbs up the waterfall like a caterpillar. I supplied the information about the goby fish, and the illustrator took care of the images, which are colorful and fun!
StarLight is a free Christian magazine for children aged 5 to 10 years old. Check out the magazine and article here. You may be required to give your email address, but there is no charge to read the magazine.

Sweet Friendship (Anchored Magazine)
Anchored Magazine, a publication produced by the Southern Christian Writers Conference, had a callout for stories about sweet friendship. I wrote about how Pam and I became friends, leading to a partnership in the Kidz 4 Christ Puppet Ministry. Writing the article made me think more deeply about friendship.
You can read my story in Anchored Magazine. I hope that you enjoy it!

Murphy and the Rock
Did you hear about the male eagle who wanted a baby chick? He sat on a rock, hoping it would hatch. He patiently waited, but, of course, in vain. The caretakers took the rock away, but Murphy was able to successfully foster a young, orphaned chick. What an amazing opportunity for Murphy!
Sadly, Murphy passed away on March 15, 2025. We are honored to have shared his story. You can learn more about Murphy and see a photo of him with the chick he cared for here.
