At Rest: Short Stories of Remembrance was written by the Collierville Christian Writers group. Each story is a work of fiction about someone who has passed away. Within these pages, you will find profound grace, unexpected humor, and enduring love.
My story, “The Heart of a Healer,” is about a young woman who passed away during the yellow fever epidemic and whose spirit is lingering in Elmwood Cemetery to help other victims of epidemics accept their fate and pass peacefully on.

Memphis Mosaic: Short Stories of the Bluff City was produced by the Collierville Christian Writers. Each contributor created an original story based, at least in part, on a landmark from the Memphis area. My story, We Will Remember, is based on the Yellow Fever epidemic that reduced the city’s population to the point of losing its charter. For my unique spin, I told the story from the perspective of a white oak tree in Elmwood Cemetery.
